Project & Infrastructure Context
Regional Civils Central and South East Design & Technical Community (£5m - £100m+ schemes in Active Travel, Place-making, Climate Resilience, Defence and Power) — Lead the delivery of complex, high-impact infrastructure projects across the Midlands, London and East Anglia. Take ownership of the design and technical function from preconstruction through to handover.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of design solutions, ensuring customer requirements, programme and budget constraints are met
- Manage and coordinate the Design Team, including M&E elements, ensuring effective briefing and performance of internal and external teams
- Oversee subcontractor design integration and ensure buildability across major infrastructure packages
- Drive value engineering, carbon reduction, and digital BIM compliance across the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience operating at a senior level delivering design services within a work-winning/preconstruction and project delivery environment. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture with Chartership (MICE, MIStructE, RIBA or equivalent).
