Project & Infrastructure Context
Power Transmission & Distribution — High Voltage Substation Infrastructure (up to 400kV) — Shape the future of critical UK power transmission infrastructure by leading construction teams across high-voltage substation build and reinforcement projects in the South West.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Manage Site Engineers and Project Engineers to ensure technical and safety compliance
- Plan and oversee resource allocation, plant machinery, switchgear installation, and materials
- Supervise daily site activities, labor force productivity, and subcontractor performance
- Maintain strict adherence to National Grid and SSE technical specifications and ESSW standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record managing high-voltage substation construction projects. Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and safety-critical electrical environments. Relevant degree or HNC/HND.
