Project & Operational Scope

Design Engineer We're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.

Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired Hours: 40 hours per week – flexibility on hours available if desired Salary: Starting from £40k per annum Sector: Working across all areas of the built environment Join us as a Design Engineer and become part of one of the UK's leaders in temporary works design and management and.

Core Responsibilities & Impact

Deliver high-standard engineering, technical, and operational execution in line with Kier safety, sustainability, and quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, client stakeholders, design partners, and supply chain specialists to ensure milestone adherence.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, CDM guidelines, industry technical standards, and environmental requirements.
Champion continuous improvement, value engineering, digital delivery, and best practice across the scheme lifecycle.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
Demonstrated background within UK infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, water frameworks, or transportation projects.
Strong communication, team collaboration, problem-solving, and technical project delivery capabilities.
Commitment to safety leadership, collaborative working, and high-performance delivery.

Estimated Remuneration: GBP £42,000 - £58,000 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience)
