We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team in Cumbria, supporting the delivery of a nationally significant project within the PPP SRP Framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a high-profile programme, taking ownership of an engineering discipline or defined scope of works within a multidisciplinary project environment.

Aligned to our Engineering Function, you will be responsible for managing and delivering your assigned scope through agreed phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, project specifications, and Morgan Sindall standards. Working collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and supply chain partners, you will help drive successful project outcomes while championing our commitment to Perfect Delivery and supporting our People Promise.

Manage and deliver an allocated engineering discipline or scope of work within a multidisciplinary construction project.

Support the successful delivery of projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from design and planning through to construction and commissioning.

Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, client specifications, project standards, and Morgan Sindall processes.

Contribute to project planning, scheduling, progress reporting, and performance monitoring activities.

Support procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure efficient project delivery.

Analyse project information and technical data to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions.

Develop effective resource plans and coordinate project resources to meet programme and business objectives.

Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, supply chain partners, and internal teams.

Provide visible leadership and accountability for your area of responsibility, fostering collaboration and high performance.

Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and enhancing team capability.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and project outcomes.

Remain effective in complex, changing, or high-pressure situations while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and delivery.

Support the achievement of customer satisfaction objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of nationally significant infrastructure.

Working level Subject Matter Expertise within a MEICA engineering discipline or related technical field.

Experience managing a discipline scope on multidisciplinary construction projects.

Experience contributing to the design and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, reporting, and performance management processes.

Experience supporting or managing procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, influence, and develop others.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences and stakeholders.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate options and make informed decisions.

Ability to create and implement resource plans within complex project environments.

Experience building collaborative relationships across functions, disciplines, and external organisations.

Ability to work effectively within uncertain, challenging, or fast-paced project environments.

Qualified to Level 6 or equivalent on the Regulated Qualifications Framework in a MEICA engineering discipline or a related technical discipline.

Demonstrable competence within your primary engineering discipline.

Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally within the nuclear or infrastructure sectors.

Membership of a relevant professional institution such as IET, IMechE, CIBSE, or similar.

Working towards, or holding, Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

Broader multidisciplinary engineering knowledge and experience.

Estimated Remuneration: GBP £55,000 - £78,000 per annum (competitive market rate commensurate with experience)
