Role Overview
You will serve as a NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Code 3910N, the Nuclear Equipment & Facilities Division of the NUCLEAR PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as a professional engineer developing and coordinating facilities and plant equipment engineering projects and providing technical direction for improvement and modernization of nuclear facilities. You will coordinate efforts related to the development, improvement, and modernization of nuclear facilities and plant equipment.
You will coordinate the development and implementation of a future state for facilities and plant equipment which support naval nuclear work with other Shipyard departments.
You will support the Nuclear Facilities and Equipment Manager in the management and direction of the overall nuclear facilities and equipment programs required for the support of nuclear production effort
You will take action with other shipyard nuclear managers and department heads, to ensure the overall coordinated, effective and safe execution of nuclear work.
You will ensure adequate planning, scheduling and manpower resources are provided for construction, manufacture, preparation, maintenance repair and installation of facilities.
