Your Impact
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Project Engineer to join our Program Management team in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support for the delivery of infrastructure and construction projects, working closely with Construction Managers and project stakeholders to help ensure successful project execution.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your project management and construction oversight skills while contributing to projects that make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Support the Construction Manager with day to day construction management and contract administration activities.
- Assist in monitoring project scope, schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual construction progress reports.
- Review contractor payment applications and monthly certifications for completeness and accuracy.
- Support project documentation and electronic filing efforts to ensure compliance with project and organizational requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of change orders, contract modifications, and related documentation.
- Support project controls activities, including work breakdown structures, cost tracking, earned value reporting, and project status reporting.
- Maintain and update project logs, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, allowances, and change orders.
- Coordinate with project team members, contractors, consultants, and client representatives to support project delivery.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with documenting actions, decisions, and follow up items.
- Promote and support Jacobs' commitment to safety, quality, ethics, and continuous improvement programs.
- Perform engineering assignments and analyses under the guidance of senior project and construction management staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting engineering, construction, or project management activities.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project documentation management tools.
Desirable Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, transportation, water, or vertical construction projects.
- Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and construction administration processes.
- Experience working in a consulting engineering or program management environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
- Eligible employees and their dependents may elect medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
