We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most exciting nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a nationally significant programme while developing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will be responsible for delivering assigned project scope through agreed phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful completion in line with legislative, regulatory and project requirements. You will play a key role in achieving Perfect Delivery while promoting and supporting our People Promise.
Role Responsibilities
Deliver allocated project scope through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring quality, safety, time, and cost objectives are achieved.
Support the planning, coordination and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering and construction activities.
Ensure compliance with project standards, industry regulations, and legislative requirements.
Contribute to project planning, reporting, and performance monitoring activities.
Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across the project.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Analyse technical and project information to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions.
Lead and coordinate resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborative working practices.
Demonstrate visible leadership and accountability, supporting colleagues and contributing to team development.
Support the achievement of customer satisfaction objectives and business performance targets.
Champion safe working practices and uphold Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's values and behaviours.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Working level Subject Matter Expertise within a relevant engineering discipline, preferably MEICA or a related technical field.
Experience managing discipline-specific scope on multidisciplinary construction projects.
Experience contributing to the design, planning and delivery of complex infrastructure or construction projects.
Involvement in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Experience in project planning, reporting, and performance management.
Ideally, experience working within a highly regulated environment, such as nuclear, energy, water, rail, or defence.
Understanding and application of the competencies required within your engineering discipline.
Degree qualified (Level 6 or equivalent on the Regulated Qualifications Framework) in a MEICA engineering discipline or other relevant engineering subject.
Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant professional institution such as IET, IMechE or CIBSE.
Working towards or already holding Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
Relevant technical training and qualifications aligned to your engineering discipline.

Key Qualifications & Candidate Profile
- Relevant technical qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven track record operating on UK construction sites or major infrastructure frameworks.
- Knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental standards (CDM regulations, CSCS, IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Strong communication, team coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation & Benefits Guidance
Estimated Remuneration: GBP £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (competitive market rate commensurate with experience)
